IMANI STEPHENS

Resume

A storyteller at heart, Imani blends journalism and strategic communications to create stories that engage and inspire.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, she began her career as a multimedia journalist, gaining experience in markets such as Los Angeles, Bakersfield, CA, Washington D.C., Phoenix, and New York, where she developed compelling, community-focused content. Highly creative and experimental, she once produced a feature on a woman with a holiday collection of close to 700 nutcracker figurines, shooting video with a Sony XD camera, GoPro, and iPhone, writing the script, editing the footage, and producing web copy entirely on her own.

In her most recent role, as the Senior Communications Associate at a national nonprofit organization, Imani crafted media campaigns and content that highlighted programs in the climate, justice, and tech industries.

Imani draws on her experience in storytelling to engage audiences and translate insights into memorable content.

Known for her curiosity, adaptability, and proactive approach, Imani thrives on collaboration and turning ideas into stories that resonate, inspire, and drive impact.
